I am a professional guitarist, composer and music educator based in Graz, Austria. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2023, followed by a Master’s degree in Jazz Guitar with honours in June 2026.

Alongside my artistic work, I am currently studying Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy (IGP) in Jazz Guitar at the same university, with additional focuses on arrangement and ensemble direction.

With over ten years of teaching experience, I have worked with children, teenagers and adults of all ages and ability levels—from complete beginners to advanced musicians and students preparing for university entrance examinations.

Every student is unique. For this reason, each lesson is individually adapted to your musical interests, goals, experience and preferred learning pace.

- What We Can Work on Together

1. Understanding the Guitar and Fretboard

Develop a clear understanding of your instrument and learn how notes, chords, scales and musical patterns are organised across the fretboard. This will help you learn songs more efficiently and express your own musical ideas with greater freedom.

2. Song Accompaniment

Develop your skills as a rhythm guitarist through chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques and accompaniment approaches from a variety of musical styles.

3. Improvisation

Improvisation is an important part of jazz, but it can also be applied to rock, blues, funk, pop and many other styles. We will work with practical tools such as arpeggios, triads, scales, phrasing, ear training and harmonic concepts, always connecting them directly to real music.

4. Rhythm and Timing

Develop a stronger sense of pulse, groove and musical timing. A solid rhythmic foundation is essential for every musician, whether you are playing alone, accompanying singers or performing with a band.

5. Harmony, Modern Music Theory and Composition

Explore how music is constructed and learn to understand chord progressions, melodies, scales, song forms and harmonic relationships. Students who are interested in composing can also develop their own pieces and musical ideas.

6. Guitar Technique

We can work systematically on different technical areas, including alternate picking, economy picking, sweep picking, hybrid picking, legato, chord transitions, articulation and coordination between both hands.

Technique is always approached as a tool for musical expression rather than as an isolated exercise.

7. Repertoire

Learn songs, compositions and solos in the styles that inspire you, whether that is jazz, rock, pop, blues, funk, metal or another musical direction.

Your favourite music can become the foundation for developing technique, theory, rhythm and creativity.

8. Creativity and Musical Expression

Students are encouraged to develop their own musical ideas, experiment with sound, improvise, compose and discover a personal connection with the instrument.

9. Preparation for Performances and Entrance Examinations

Advanced students can receive structured support in preparing for concerts, auditions and entrance examinations at music schools, conservatoires and music universities.

10. Personal and Supportive Lessons

My aim is to create a positive, patient and respectful learning environment. Mistakes are treated as a natural part of the learning process, and each lesson is built around realistic goals and sustainable progress.

Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to take your playing to a more advanced level, I will support you in developing your skills, confidence and individual musical voice.

Über mich

Mein Name ist Konstantinos und ich unterrichte seit über 9 Jahren Gitarre und Musik!
Nach mehr als 5 Jahren Bühnenerfahrung auf internationalen Konzertbühnen weiß ich genau, was jeden Schülerin braucht, um kontinuierlich Fortschritte zu machen.
Gemeinsam setzen wir Ziele und haben dabei stets Freude an der Musik!

Mein Unterricht richtet sich an Schülerinnen jeden Alters (ab 7 Jahren) und jedes Niveaus – von absoluten Anfängerinnen bis zu fortgeschrittenen Musiker*innen. Ich biete Gitarrenunterricht sowie Kurse in Harmonie, Gehörbildung, Rhythmik und Komposition an.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

Konstantinos ist ein griechischer Jazzgitarrist, Komponist und Musikpädagoge mit Sitz in Graz. Seine musikalische Laufbahn begann im Alter von 12 Jahren mit Privatunterricht bei verschiedenen Gitarrenlehrern in Athen. 2019 wurde er an der Jazzabteilung der Kunstuniversität Graz (KUG) aufgenommen.

Seine musikalische Ausbildung ergänzte er durch Workshops und Einzelstunden bei international renommierten Künstlern wie Lage Lund, Charles Altura, Jesse Van Ruller, Danilo Pérez, Romain Pilon, Dick Oatts, Jim McNeely, Chuck Israels, Phil Robson, Mike Walker, Nir Felder und Jason Lindner.

2023 leitete er gemeinsam mit dem Posaunisten Luis Bonilla (Phil Collins, Astrud Gilberto, Village Vanguard Orchestra) einen Jazzgitarren-Workshop im Rahmen der JM Jazz World-Veranstaltung in Zagreb, Kroatien – eine internationale Bildungsinitiative für junge Jazzmusiker*innen.

Seit 2021 ist Konstantinos Mitglied des Luis Bonilla International Jazz Quartet und tourte in den Jahren 2021 und 2022 mit dem JM International World Jazz Orchestra durch Europa. Aktuell leitet er sein eigenes Quartett mit Originalkompositionen und arbeitet an seinem Debütalbum.

Er ist zudem in mehreren internationalen Projekten aktiv, darunter:
Joe Fiedler’s European Quartet, Generations Encounters Trio mit Renato Chicco und Oleg Markov, KBQuartet usw.

Er trat u. a. mit John Riley, Luis Bonilla, Renato Chicco, Stjepko Gut, Joe Fiedler, Hrvoje Kralj, Urs Hager und Matheus Jardim auf.

Festivalauftritte führten ihn zu:

Als Musiker ist er regelmäßig in Österreich, Griechenland, Slowenien, Kroatien und Italien aktiv und prägt die dortige Jazzszene mit seinem Beitrag.

Konstantinos unterrichtet seit über neun Jahren Gitarre – sowohl online als auch vor Ort – und arbeitet mit Schüler*innen jeden Alters und Niveaus. Seit 2024 ist er als Gitarrenlehrer an zwei Schulen in Graz tätig:
