Practical tips, exam-relevant criteria, and strategies for successfully passing entrance exams at music universities.

Geboren in Taoyuan, Taiwan, zog ich mit 15 Jahren nach Deutschland, um Musik zu studieren, und schloss 2022 mein Konzertexamen an der Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover ab.
Ich bewege mich mühelos zwischen verschiedenen künstlerischen Dimensionen, ohne mich von Konventionen einschränken zu lassen, und trete regelmäßig international auf – u. a. in Deutschland, Frankreich, Spanien, den Niederlanden, dem Vereinigten Königreich, Russland, den USA und Taiwan. Meine Auftritte reichen von Solo-Recitals, wie Bachs Goldberg-Variationen in der Nationalen Konzerthalle Taipei (2014), bis hin zu Konzerten mit Orchestern, darunter Beethovens Klavierkonzert Nr. 3 mit der NDR Radiophilharmonie unter Howard Griffiths (2015).
Seit 2022 gebe ich Live-Improvisationskonzerte, die das Publikum auf spontane musikalische Reisen mitnehmen. Meine Improvisationen erreichten allein im Jahr 2022 auf Spotify über 30.000 Hörstunden von mehr als 40.000 Zuhörer*innen weltweit.
Mein preisgekröntes Album Origin (2023) enthält Kompositionen aus den Jahren 2019–2022. 2024 wurde mein Violinsolo Shan Hai Ge in der Villa Elisabeth Berlin vom Geiger Qingzhu Weng uraufgeführt.
Neben der Musik arbeite ich auch mit Worten: Gedichte, Prosatexte und Essays erscheinen auf meinen Social-Media-Plattformen.

I am a pianist, composer, and artist of piano improvisation. Since 2025, I have been an Artist in Residence at Stiftung Starke in Berlin. In 2019, I received the Dr. Eva Maria Zbick Artist Promotion Award, and in 2023 I won the Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards for my album Origin.
As a contracted artist with Wind Music International Corporation, I have released eight CD albums and two EPs featuring live improvisations (improvised compositions) and original works. I have also been supported with scholarships such as the DAAD Award and the Deutschlandstipendium.
Born in Taoyuan, Taiwan, I moved to Germany at the age of 15 to study music and completed my concert examination (Konzertexamen) at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in 2022.
I move effortlessly across different artistic dimensions, without being constrained by conventions, and perform internationally – including Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Russia, the USA, and Taiwan. My performances range from solo recitals, such as Bach’s Goldberg Variations at the National Concert Hall in Taipei (2014), to orchestral concerts, including Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the NDR Radiophilharmonie conducted by Howard Griffiths (2015).
Since 2022, I have been presenting live improvisation concerts that take the audience on spontaneous musical journeys. In 2022 alone, my improvisations reached over 30,000 listening hours on Spotify from more than 40,000 listeners worldwide.
My award-winning album Origin (2023) contains compositions from 2019–2022. In 2024, my violin solo Shan Hai Ge was premiered at Villa Elisabeth Berlin by violinist Qingzhu Weng.
